Unable to unsubscribe from MTN play

I accidently opened the portal to MTN play and since then received sms's every day from some or other sangoma. I looked everywhere on the net on how to unsubscribe but with no luck.
I did send a complaint to MTN website and received an email that said that they will contact me shortly and gave the MTN REQ# 1841579. It is now 2 days later and still nothing.
Why do MTN make it so difficult to unsubscibe from something that you did not even subscibe to.
