I have been with MTN for the better part of two years. Not only do I pay my account without fail, I pay them in excess of R1000 a month. I recently switched to FNB, and when the bank phoned MTN to have my accounting details moved over, they rejected the request from the bank. I went to the branch in Cresta, and not only were the staff completely unfriendly, they couldn't help me switch my details without a "proof of banking" certificate from FNB. I am a busy man, I travel for work frequently and do not have time for queues and time wasting. Nevertheless, I visited the head office (or larger office) on Rivonia road. I paid my account because my previous debit orders had bounced (obviously) and was kindly assisted by a lady who switched my details while she was standing in front of me. WHY WAS THAT SO HARD? the actual bank phones them and they refuse to adapt the change but I can go there and do it manually over the table- without proof of banking i'll add. Because my debit order bounced, MTN suspended my service and removed my debit order facility- this was not my fault in the first place!!! I have paid EFT on 28th Feb 2013, my lines are still disconnected. SORT THIS OUT!!!
