Irregular internet speed

For the last couple of weeks between 6pm and 8am and over week-ends the internet speed on our 2mb ADSL line is cut by more than half making it almost impossible to connect to even Google which can take up to 20 minutes to even see the home page. I have contacted the telkom call center numerous times on 10210 and have been told that it is due to user traffic. This response is absolute rubbish as telkom is being paid for a service that as per usual they are not delivering or even attempting to correct or rectify. I have had the line reset more times than i can remember and once a technician came out to the junction outside the residence, lifted the cover, put it back and was not seen again anywhere near it. Between 8am and 6pm the connection is fine which is strange being daylight business hours when millions of users are no doubtingly connected to the telkom service. I seriously think South Africa as a whole needs a better if not NEW telecommunication service to bring us at least on par with the rest of the civilised world which the current one being TELKOM is failing disgustingly to do.
