Just want to pop in a good word and express an error in terms of my judgement publicly. I had been with Afrihost in conjunction with Telkom since August 2012 when my siblings and I decided to cross over to a mobile network in February 2013.
We were not pleasantly surprised by the service, data usage speeds, customer care or anything else the mobile networks we tried; could provide us with.
We firmly believe that Afrihost spoilt us rotten in the following ways:
1. If you have a problem with the physical landline your data is running on provided by Telkom, Afrihost will deal with Telkom for you and they do... Also they resolve the issue promptly. Mostly you will wake up in the morning and see an e-mail that came through at 3 or 4 am indicating the resolve of the problem or asking questions about the problems - NOWHERE ON A MOBILE NETWORK WILL YOU RECEIVE SUCH SERVICE and you will go far to find that form any other ADSL provider.
2. Afrihost had no problem to cancel my contract when I wanted to explore mobile network data, they did it promply, professionally, with friendly staff an without any hassle.
3. Need more characters!
