HUAWEI Wifi E5331 slow & they won't refund me

I purchased the Huawei Mobile WiFi E5331 router from 8ta last week saturday 9th Feb. I was told that it works with MTN 3G card also. When i tried it, it does work, but it is several times slower than using my 3G USB stick. I went back to the shop the next day and tried to return it. The lady assured me that I must download the MTN software and then it will work. Went back home and searched for this non-existent software without success. For 1 week kept testing it, and it is extremely slow. Yesterday went back to the shop to return it and I was told that they do not do refunds. I found the staff not very knowledgeable, and typically it is much easier to deal with regards toreturns with other SA companies. I do need the router, but if the speed is so slow, I dont want it.
