Cell C
Did Cell C sell my info to other companies?

I had a pay as you go sim with Cell C (under my maiden name) and then moved to Vodacom with the same number. Recently I started a Red Bull mobile contract with the same number again. Since then I've started receiving unsolicited sales calls and texts in a great volume. I receive a couple of calls and a couple of texts every day from various cold calling companies and the like. This is very annoying.

Why do I believe its Cell C that is responsible? They are all addressed to my maiden name and it started just after I ported my number back to Cell C. I haven't received correspondence with this name since I was married. I was quite careful to change my name with the few service companies I do business with, except Cell C. I never voluntarily gave Cell C permission to give out my info and I have to say my opinion of the company has gone quite low because of this experience.
