Cold Calls | Number sold to suppliers?

My Wife and I recently both transfered our numbers from Cell C / MTN to Vodacom and took out contracts with Vodacom. For the past couple of years we have not received 1 call from suppliers wanting to sell us insurance, credit cards, medical aid etc. Since we moved over the vodacom, within 1 week we have started receiving promotional SMSes and cold calls from people trying to sell us stuff.

I am very unhappy with that fact that even though we specifically said we do not want 3rd party companies contacting us we are receiving 1-2 calls a day.

Vodacom, take me off all your lists as I am sick of receiving these unlawful calls.
