PRODUCT NOT AS ADVERTISED

Telecommunications

I bought the Samsung Chat Deluxe (S3570) for the sole purpose to use it for Whatsapp. After four weeks of struggling, numerous phone calls and visits to the Vodacom Cellular Shop, I came to the conclusion that this specific device is unable to handle Whatsapp. It was, however, advertised otherwise in the Vodacom booklet of 7 October - 6 November 2012 (page 7) and again in the booklet of 7 January - 6 February 2013 (page 10). According to those advertisements, the device can handle Whatsapp. The manager of the Vodacom Cellular Shop says they can not take responsibility for misprints in the booklet. Is that fair? I am now stuck with a 2 year contract for a device that can not perform the function that I intended it for. Can someone help me please?
