CHARGED FOR CALLS NOT MADE

We took out a contract with Cell C through Game Stores in March 2012 in order to get the gift voucher they had on offer. Since then we have never used the sim card and have it locked away in the safe as we already have a contract with MTN, which we have had for years.
We received a call from Cell C on 30 Nov 12 stating that our call charges for November had reached an amount of R953.42. Immediately we asked them to suspend the account as this sim card is not in use. We have since received 2 different reference numbers and still they have not sorted this account out. We have been promised that someone would come back to us and still are waiting, even after phoning them back numerous times. And on top of it all, they have unsuspended the account again. Now they have taken this money off our bank account. We don't know who else to talk to anymore as nobody at Cell C wants to come back to us with this query. How can we pay for an account when we haven't even made the calls and the sim card is NOT in use at all.
