I have a contract for 2gb per month any time which I use on my laptop. According to a sms I received from Cell C on 29 January I had 500 mb remaining for the month. At approximately 3 pm on 31 Jan I checked my account and had 396mb available but had been billed R7.45 for data usage. I phoned the customer care but the lady couldnt help me but said that she would refer the complaint. On 1 Feb I went to Cell C, Cavendish and the lady tried to help me by phoning someone. She then informed me that I had 2gb data any time and 3gb after midnight. When one checks the account it doesnt separate the midnight data from data used between 6am and 11.55 pm but gives one figure of data remaining. Cell C had never informed me before 1 Feb about this midnight data.. I emailed Cell C on 1 Feb complaining about the debit and the fact that they dont separate the data balances. Have had no response.
