Was told incorrect info when signing up

On renewing my contract on 11th Jan 2014 with salesperson Fayaaz Hoosen, we upgraded from the weekender to the smart 75, which included 700mb as we were getting an iphone.
Thoughout the entire process the salesperson was rushing through everything and not helpful in explaining all the details. I asked the question "when would the contact take effect from? "his response was along the lines of the following-You have already received your free minutes for January so you will be billed for those as per normal, &your NEW contract will be active asap &you will be billed pro-rata for it for January and then back to normal for February. A hard copy of the contract was not shown to me, nor was it shown to me on the computer screen, and i was just asked to sign on the digital pad on the desk-presuming i was signing for what was just told to me!!!
Fast forward to the end of Jan i have only been billed for the old contract, and after investigation find out that contract will only start on 1st Feb which leaves me with an R800 data bill! I went into the store on Sat &was called a and told tough luck in front of all the other customers!! UNACCEPTABLE behavior!!! I expect this to be rectified
