Exhorbitant Bill, poor customer care, wrong advice

I was advised that by several Telkom Mobile agents that the when on international roaming, my rates would be between R2.50 and R5.00 per minute, hence I applied for full roaming from around 2nd week of Dec 2013 to 06/01/2014.
(1) I never received data throughout my duration away
(2) I called 8ta at least 4 times notifying them of the problem. I received incompetent assistance by all the consultants throughout my duration away and was charged ridiculous charges for my calls to the 8ta Call-centre e.g. on 1/12/2013, I was billed R446.48 for a 7 min 29 sec call to 8ta; on 23/12/2013 I was charged R781.34 for a 13 min 23 sec call to 8ta. These calls were to request 8ta to avail internet data services for me, which never materialised.
(3) 2 times I was billed for somehow 'calling my own no.' eg on 18/12/2013, I was billed R170.76 for an 11min52sec call from my no. to my no.
(4) I was told that my query had been escalated to 'Technical', & would be resolved within 72 hrs. I called back after about 4 working days & was told that the 72 hrs translates to 9 working days
(5) I asked for recordings of my calls to 8ta & for the debit order to be paused till issue is resolved. This was not done
