No-one knows why it's down. Seriously?

Before I start, I have to say I've never had problems after using Afrihost for the last few years.

But one of our *mission critical* dedicated servers "disappeared" from the internet at about 3:30pm today. We were on the phone and sending support emails immediately as there are many thousands of people using this server all the time.

The response from Munna Rae to the email was "We have moved the issue to our senior admins. Please hold on till you get an update:)". No subsequent emails get responded to.

Calling the support number goes through 25 minutes on being closer and closer to the front of the queue, then someone cuts you off.

Since this is highly important for my business, I'm forced to try again. Getting through I get "Can I call you back when I spoke to the supervisor to help". No-one calls back.

6 hours of downtime later, I'm still on the phone explaining the problem to another person.

I'm beginning to suspect that someone switched the machine off to sell the parts to the nearest copper dealer for R50 per kg. I'll have to change careers to also sell scrap metal if this server doesn't come back up soon.
