I took out a contract with Telkom mobile in December 2013. My phone has never worked and I enquired as to why, firstly they said it was not activated.
I went to the Telkom shop in the Glen to see what is going on, on the 19th January. The consultant says that I ported my number, I said I don't know this number nor did I instruct this to be done. She then also informed me that the numbers have since been cancelled by Telkom, again without me instructing this. Finanlly she says that my contract has been cancelled and I must pay a cancellation fee of R2084 which again I did not agree to nor instruct.
I instructed her to lodge a case that I don't want to cancel my contract nor pay a cancellation fee. The cancellation fee was debited from my account on 25/01/2014. To date and numerous phone calls and escalation, the money has not been returned nor has my contract been fixed and reinstated.
So easy for Telkom to take money from me and do things like this but so difficult to get my money back.
