Applied for Telkom ADSL ref CM1072892 was called on 19/11/2013 to let me know that technician would call within 2 days. Was given an order number "89111071A" After numerous calls to Telkom 10210 nothing happened and I was promised by the Agent at callcentre that my 1Mbps was udgraded at the same cost to a 2Mbps line. Eventually on 19/12/2013 a technician called and he came out. He did his thing and moved the exisitng Jack and then had a problem as he could not find the TELKOM room with all the wires/cables!!! He left again to return 2 days later with a collegue and they managed to find the manhole with all the cables. He then realised that he had put the jack where there is no electrical plug and promised to come in the new year to move the jack to where there is a plug point! Now nearly a month later and no word from them and i still have a long extention cord running to enable the modem to be connected. My line was also NOT upgraded as promised. So i need a technician to come and MOVE the jack so i can get rid of the DANGEROUS cord running and my line must be upgraded as promised to a 2Mbps. This is totally unacceptable.
