Vodaphone k3772-z

My voadphone modem suddenly, after 7months stopped working. When i tried to reinstall it it said that it was missing the k3772-z driver. I went to vodaphone who said I should go to incredible connection to have the problem sorted. This would cost R200. I tried to do it myself and found out that it was a vodaphone driver that seems to be on the modem itself and that there are many other complaints about the same driver.

Incredible connection gave me some information on how to download the Driver that did not work.

I would like to know why vodaphone did not fix it themselves and what I should do
