Telecommunications

I am not sure if Telkom is pulling the wool over our eyes, or if it just a bad joke that is being played on their customers.

Fact: The Telkom exchanges in the Benoni area (specifically for Rynfield) cannot cope with the volume for at least the past 6 years.

How does Telkom fix this issue?.. LOL, in 2013 they upgrade everyone's bandwidth. I am definitely no expert when it comes to DSL and exchanges, DSLAM, etc - but surely if an existing system/network cannot cope with the current volume of connections and data transfers, how will increasing the bandwidth of existing clients resolve the problem?

The end result is simple - constant line attenuation and disconnects/bad syncing... what is Telkom's solution? ROFLMAO, end of 2013, beginning 2014 they increase the bandwidth again for all their clients!

Why do they do this, I hear you ask - the answer is simply by upgrading client line bandwidth costs Telkom absolutely nothing (as opposed to upgrading overloaded exchanges would cost a pretty packet).

And it is a perfect ploy to make clients feel good for a few hours - Yay, I can now at a minimum operate my DSL on a 2 Meg line... if only I can stay connected for 5 mins
