4 months agoI went through a great deal of trouble and expense to install an uncapped, 1Mb per sec ADSL Advanced line in my home from Telkom.

We noticed right from the start that there was no bandwidth during the day, we only seemed to get any decent bandwidth between midnight and 8.00 am and even this never exceeded 107KB per sec.

Even this has dwindled to a point where even at night we barely ever see a decent peak in the bandwidth and there is certainly no bandwidth worth mentioning during the daylight hours I mentioned above.

I have called Telkom Tech Service and been handed from one department to another - each time I speak to a different person who asked me to explain the problem all over again - each time telling me to turn my modem off and on again - asking me to repeat endless speed tests form my computer.

I asked to have the matter escalated and they kindly made a report and escalated the matter... I never heard form them again?

I was told by the Telkom tech support man today that its possible to download 10GB in 3 seconds with my 1 MB line - that alone says it all!
