17 Days and still no phone back

I took my Blackberry into Alberton repair Centre. The phone kept switching itself off and the return and menu buttons were not working correctly.
On Tuesday I got the first SMS to say it was booked in at the repair center, then I got another saying it was sent for advanced assessment. Kept getting updated SMS until Friday the 17th. On Tuesday the 21st I phoned the repair center to be told the Phone had water damage from condensation and would cost R1800 to repair. I told the very rude consultant I wouldn't pay that and they must get my phone back. The phone was put down in my ear. On Thursday I phoned again to be told the same thing, my phone was still at the advanced repair center and there was a estimate pending. I told the guy that I rejected the quote, I have since heard nothing.
I have sent emails to Vodacom customer care and have only received automated responses.
Strange thing is, that the water damage indicator didn't show water dame and when checking a lot of the same blackberries have the same problem.
Bad serves all round, but I would still like my phone back as I am paying blackberry fees and now data fees as well. Contract ends in March, will not be with Vodacom again
