On 31st January I reported an fault on my ADSL (and voice) line. which were dead. I received confirmation of the log and then a fault reference number, both from Telkom. Every day since then, the line has mysteriously reactivated and a few hours later dropped again. This up and down see-saw has happened two to three times during daytime hours every day. It has now been down since before lunch with no connection taking place.
During this 5 day fiasco, the Telkom site reports that the fault is open, which is still the case. After trying to find someone to talk to, I got a message through to heaven knows who, who sends me a message that their records say the fault is resolved. I seriously doubt if anyone in that organization has a clue what they are about.
Much as I don't support the east, maybe if a sale to the Koreans took place, we might at least have competent management and technicians in place, to provide the service the country needs. Clearly the management appointees are incapable which is unsurprising as they were appointed by a government who cannot run the country. we are sitting with unbridled incompetence at all levels. It is pathetic.
