Telecommunications

On 28 December I went to MTN in order to purchase a fastlink dongel, as well as to apply for a 5Gig data plan, as advertised at R129 per month with your own device.
The dongle was given to me on the same day, but the system was offline as soon as the data plan had to be loaded. I filled in manual forms for application instore and was sent home.
On 2 January I received an sms from the branch saying that "the contract has been approved, im just waiting for MTN to load the packages, then I will contact you.
The next day I received a call fro one of the ladies working there saying that there is a problem with the y'ello deals magazine and that the rate is not R129, but actually R249. No posters or anything was set up instore. I explai edthat it was uunexceptable and that I expect it at R129, as advertised. Neither she, nor MTN, came back to me.

I was forced to take the deal for R249pm, but I am not impressed at all. If Iwas not told that it was approved it might have been a different issue, but to change that price later is not proper...
