I Upgraded cellphone contract on the 22nd of February 2013, and with it a new cellphone. I received an SMS saying my contract has been extended to 2015 & that my order had been invoiced on the same day and to expect delivery.

However I received nothing, not even feedback as to say it was/was not dispatched. I then tried to call the retentions number provided on the SMS in the week, and it stated delivery was the 8th of March (which is today). Today I called in to find out where the phone is, and was told it was delivered on the 7th of March and nobody was present to accept it, so it's gone back to the warehouse

On asking why the courier didn't call, the response was, did I provide the courier with my number? Having never had the opportunity to speak to the courier Vodacom provides, I'm not sure how that was possible. Vodacom obviously has my number, as that was the very number they were upgrading

So for a two week wait for a one attempt (with no contact attempts) at delivery is ridiculous

I can now either remain home permanently waiting for a maybe delivery, or go to a Vodashop to start process all over again. ie fill out all the forms again, pay an admin fee & wait
