I am being charged for a non-existant service

We have a contract with Telkom's Intekom ISP which we wish to cancel. However Telkom's customer service is unable to locate the existence of this contract, and is therefore unable to terminate the debit order of R79.00 per month. We had to wait for more than an hour on the phone while being passed from consultant to consultant, and at the end we were not even given a reference number. The last consultant promised that somebody would call back - that was more than 2 days ago and we have heard nothing. How can we stop this amount from being deducted for a service which they even admit, does not exist? Surely this is?
