Horrendous service / waste of time and money

I cancelled my contract with Virginmobile at the end of Sept 2013 and still needed to pay until the end of October.
However, I am still being debited and have been trying for almost 4 months now to resolve the issue.
Firstly, call centre staff pass you from one person to another and nobody seems able to assist.
Secondly, I finally get a reference number and a promise that the credit amount will be paid into my account 7 days later, which still has not happened (8 days later...)
Thirdly, when you call, you are put on hold for about 20 minutes and then the story is the same as the previous time I called.
Fourthly, there seems to be no supervisors or managers working at the call centre, because the staff just refuse to transfer the call to a superior.
I am beyond fed-up...
