MTN making cancellation impossible

I phoned the number on the website for contract cancellations - apparently it is not the correct number and they had to put me through to the correct department. Twice the phone rang and the call stopped ringing before it was answered. I then send a signed letter for cancellation through to the customer care line on 12 December 2013. After several reminders I still did not receive any response. In the last reminder send on Monday morning 20 January 2014, I made it clear that I now need to resort to different ways of getting a reaction if no response is receive. The contract is no longer used as my son is now old enough and I don't need to have a contract for him any more.
