Today is the fourth working day after making my complaint about Vodacom not cancelling my contract as it was requested on the 19th November 2013 at 14:27 to be cancelled on the 31st of December 2013 and still no response from Vodacom. I phoned customer care on Friday the 3rd of January to find out if they have done anything regarding my complaint and was then informed it would take 24 to 72 hours for a reply. Further questions as to why my contract was not cancelled revealed that it was a error made by the person who was supposed to cancel my contract. She only placed a notice of migration to prepaid and made no cancellation notice on the system. I was then told that I would be liable because of the "late cancellation" I am very disappointed in the service of Vodacom customer care. I have been a customer for 4 years and for at least 2 of them my bill has been over R1000 and not a single late payment. After this ordeal I will no longer be supporting them and I would appreciate it if someone can resolve this issue as soon as possible. I still want to use my sim card on a prepaid basis, but no longer on contract.
