I subscribed to Telkom's ADSL service last year. But problems arose when I moved from East London to Caledon and subsequently went online to move my line.
#1- I was supposed to be contacted within 48 hours, as per an sms from Telkom. That never happened, even though I let them know a month in advance.#2- I had to go to the actual Telkom store at Hemingways mall, to sort out my change of address. I was told by the store assistant that my line would be inserted on the 08 January 2014.#3- Someone from Telkom came and checked my flat and said my landlord needed to insert some sort of pipe for my adsl line, even though there's an accountancy firm and a knitting shop at the bottom of my building. The man left his number and has never come back nor does he answer his phone even though we gave him the landlord's number.#4- My landlady spoke to another man from Telkom and he has not come back either.#5-So I called Telkom on the 15/01/14 to complain and was told that they would send someone on the 17/01/14, and no one came today.#6 Now I'm being charged for a month of no internet. Telkom's service is horrible, just to be nice I kept those peoples names and the other man's number anonymous.
