I recently lost a brand new Blackberry Bold which i specifically insured with MTN upon contracting. When trying to claim from insurance I was told that there is no trace of my cellphone ever having been insured and that unfortunately it was my word against the employee, Mandisa, who proceeded to yell at me in front of a store full of customers when i suggested a court case being opened based on the fact that I personally dealt with her and made sure that she insured my cellphone a few months earlier. I was humiliated by the MTN employee and a customer next to me had to intervene in my defense to calm the situation. I'm disappointed, and have been on numerous occasions, with the service i received from MTN. Not to mention that Mandisa's silly mistake is going to cost me thousands of rands. I would like my insurance issue to be rectified and MTN to perhaps learn to respect their clients rather than instinctively being defensive.
