Attending to in-car Bluetooth connection

The friendly staff at Blackberry Bryanston were most helpful last week in attending to a problem I had with the in-car Parrot Bluetooth connection using a Blackberry Z10 smartphone.
The installers of the Parrot system were unable to resolve the matter and I resigned myself to the fact that the Parrot installation was a waste.
We were amongst others informed that the Parrot manufacturer in Europe has resolved not to upgrade their software to accommodate the Blackberry version 10 operating system. Whether or not this is true we were not able to verify.
It turned out to require no more than a software upgrade to version 10.1 on the smartphone itself.
Now everything works!
