Over 3 hours waiting for a simple account issue

I signed up for an ADSL line installation last week Tuesday (07/01/2014).
The technician came and installed the line, and I informed my ISP (Axxess) that they could initiate the line transfer process. They received an error message saying "Customer is ceased".
I have since tried to contact Telkom on a number of occasions in the intervening week, spending collectively over 3 HOURS waiting like an for one of their billing consultants at 10210 to assist me. They never pick up.
This is utterly disgraceful service, and I am infuriated! Not only are they incompetent, they are disinterested and pathetic.
