MTN LACK OF CUSTOMER SERVICE

I would like to bring to light the terrible service of MTN.

On 4th November 2013 I loaded a 2 Gigabyte data bundle on my TOP UP contract with MTN. After receiving a confirmation sms that the bundle was loaded, I proceeded to update the sofware on my phone. Instead of deducting the data usage from the data bundle, almost R300 of my airtime was deducted.

After calling in immediately after that, I was told I would need to call back later as the billing was not showing on the sytstem. I called in later on the day and logged a billing dispute and was given a reference number. After hearing nothiong for 3 weeks, I decided to call MTN and make inquiries, only to be told that there was no dispute on the reference I was given.

I then logged another billing dispute on 27 November 2013 and was given another refence. After following up twice shortly before christmas and after the new year, I was told that the compliant would be escalated to a supervisor and that I would be contacted shortl. I am still waiting for someone to get back to me.
