I accepted a contract via Telephone Sales for R139 pm
I canceled the contract within the allowable days and returned the handset, without opening it, to a specific branch where these type of cancellations can be done.
MTN still took money from my account, the first debit was R169.
Then other debits of R19, R16 began to appear from MNT SP.
I sent a complaint to MTN, MTN responded,
"... We appreciate the time and the effort you took to air your dissatisfaction because it is through such feedback that we can re-evaluate our processes in order to improve on our Service Levels.
Please be advised that journal was passed for R227.24 on the 17/05/13 into your MTN SP account. Your debit order is now R39.00 a month..."
Nothing that speaks to the cancellation of the contract nor refunding me.
There was suppose to be no debit order at all.

I received up to 3 phone calls when the contract was sold to me.
I have received no phone calls from MTN to address this complaint.
I have recently taken out a contract for a Galaxy S4 through MTN and MTN said they will work on removing the R39 debit from the cancelled contract and refund me, MTN has now added the R39 to my Galaxy S4's debit order.
