My elderly parents have a very bad Telkom line. My father is terminally ill with cancer. It's vital they have a phone that works for emergencies, which I have stressed to Telkom each time I have phoned. Within 2 weeks I have reported the case to Telkom 3 times. Each time Telkom say the line has been fixed without testing the line at my parents house. Each time I have to phone back and report the case again.

The 3rd time was on the 4th January12CWK040114, I had no response. I must have called Telkom about 5 times and I was eventually told that a technician had not been put on the case. I again explained my fathers situation and once again they assured me they would sort the problem out again. I received an escalation number 570650. Today I received an sms from Telkom saying the problem had been sorted. Phoned my parents, Telkom had not been there and the line was still terrible.

I have just spent about an hour on the phone with Telkom, I have received another ref number 299CWK110115, explaining ONCE AGAIN that the technician must go to the house.

The service is beyond appalling, especially the situation my parents are in - that a techician does not make sure he does his job!
