As a continuation of my saga, my handset was "replaced" apparently as per Vodacom's policy by a "reconditioned unit". Having been told that the repair would take 2-3weeks, after the 3rd week my "replacement unit" apparently failed the QA. The 2nd replacement unit arrived a further week later with a back cover that doesn't fit or match, and the phone is constantly switching off and rebooting. At this point I am still without a working handset and keep getting sent these 2nd hand units where my phone was only 3months old at the time of the original failure.

While standing in the Vodacom Store in Westwood, their staff tried on numerous occasions to contact the repair centre in Gateway-as last time, no answer.

I feel I have been more than fair and have given ample time and opportunity for this almost new (only 3months old) phone to be repaired or replaced as per their policies but judging by the fact that you cannot get through to the repair centre and their QA misses the fact that the back cover is wrong, I now have no confidence in the workmanship of these people and feel the only way to resolve the matter is to replace the unit with a new one.
