Refuse to refund wrong battery sold

I went to the store and asked for a battery for a Samsung Galaxy Pocket S5300 phone. Sales person Yvonne assisted me and gave me one from the shelf stating that it should work and if it does not fit I can gladly bring it back. I did not have the phone with me to fit. Later I fitted the battery at home and found it to be too small. Obviously it was the incorrect battery. My mom went home the next day with her phone to Volksrust that is 320km away from Nelspruit. I then only took the battery back on Sat 4 Jan 2014. I explained the situation to the manager Andrew who promptly refused to refund me stating that it was my fault that I bought an incorrect battery!!! Also his attitude toward me was very rude and not willing to help at all and adding that MTN does not give refunds. I did log a call on MTN's website a week ago but still to date have had no response!!! I feel this service is unacceptable from a company like MTN and demands to be refunded!!!
