Vodacom SIM doesn't work and no one will help

I bought a vodacom sim on line. It arrived next day. It was supposed be a data sim but it arrived SIM locked so I have to put it in a phone in order to unlock it. Once I did I tried it in my HUAWEI mifi device and it didn't work, the display just said "no service". So I tried it in the VODACOM dongle that I use for work and got a message saying it may need to be activated. I phoned the pre-paid department gave them the sim card number and they said they couldn't help me because I had a contract sim. They passed me to the contract department who told me the card was indeed locked and transferred me to the activation department. They asked for my ID but I English so I gave them my Passport number they couldn't find the order nor could they find it with the vodacom order and acc numbers on the invoice. I now have a dead SIM card and no way of getting it working. I paid 131R to have it delivered but the jokes on them as I'd have paid a whole lot more than that buying data from them. Their loss, I'll also close my existing account with them as soon as my current bundle expires.
