1. I've picked up that 8ta has been charging me for a cellphone contract I have no knowledge about since September 2012. Was promised a response within 72 hours, but more than a week later I am still being told "They will get back to me" - this after numerous phone calls to a call centre who only send emails to the department!! This amounts to a over R 2000 fault on their side - and now they have stories refunding!!
2. On 30 December 2013 I cancelled my 3 contracts (which lapsed October 2012), due to having poor reception in my area. On 31 December they transferred the one phone from contract to pre-paid, but could not tell me when the other would be cancelled. After numerous phone calls, plenty promises of them getting back to me, I now had to hear that the other two phones no longer have a "order" to be cancelled!! I now need to go back to the branch and re-apply to have these contracts cancelled. This is ridiculous, as on Saturday I was promised that these contracts would be cancelled ASAP and they would phone me to confirm. This all while I am sitting with poor reception and can barely use my phone!!
