Bad insurance support

I took out my blackberry on contract in September 2012 together with in store insurance on the device.

After I encountered some water damage on the phone and I tried to claim from insurance only to find out that the insurance application was never activated on MTN's system and nobody followed up on any paperwork or sent me any notices.

Since December 2013 MTN has been dragging their feet with this case and even promised me a brand new replacement phone. Now that I want to claim the phone there are some other complications on their side again and now they want to rather try and repair my phone leaving me without a phone for who knows how long while charging me the full monthly contract price.

The communication from MTN's customer service is extremely bad to say the least.

I'm seriously considering switching providers as this service is absolutely ridiculous.
