In December I was late with paying Telkom by 5 days - I could not find my account and simply paid a lump sum of R1000 thinking this would cover it. On the 6th January 2014 Telkom disconnected my line without informing me of this - the amount owing was R138.17. I acknowledge that I was late in paying and that I was short this amount, but seriously Telkom, a simple SMS requesting payment and warning me of disconnection would have helped.
