Line disconnected for days after logging fault

After I had used my new telkom ADSL line for a few days, it became clear that its speed became severely limited at certain times. I logged a request for maintenance with telkom, and the next day a technician was assigned.

Within an hour after the technician had attended and the request closed, the line was disconnected, and despite attempts to get them to attend to the matter, the line has been left disconnected for days. I work from home, and an internet connection (not to mention a working phone line) is crucial.

The number telkom lists for complaints on their site is simply left unanswered, or sometimes the call is answered and then immediately dropped again. Being a South African I am familiar with the horrible level of service one can expect from telkom, but I must say that I was surprised at the new low they have reached.
