"Meet & Beat" Ad - Bait Marketing!

So I decide to take the long drive to Vodacom World to upgrade 1 of my lines. I proceed to Altech & was told I could not upgrade with them as my contracts are held with VSP unless I take out a new contract with them. As the Vodacom World brochure promises 'Bring us any deal, we'll beat it'. I then figured not a problem & made my way to the Vodashop to upgrade. After agreeing to wait about 45mins to be assisted, I was allocated a number at approximately 14h14. Low & behold my nr was called at 16h47. This was Vodashops '45mins' wait. After my 2.5hr wait, little did I realise what was in store for me at this stage. The salesman made me quite rudely aware that the 'meet & beat' is a 'Vodacom World' deal & I had to go to them first so that they can request the same deal offered by Altech be met by Vodashop & after this it would take approx 48hours to process. While this sounded mind-boggling I reluctantly agreed & proceeded to the Vodaworld reception. I was then told very rudely & in no uncertain terms that 'Meet&Beat' doesn't apply to Vodaworld stores & I should have called before coming?! At no point does the ad specify this even though it says 'T&C'sApply' Blatant CPA contravention!
