After my wife was shunned away by the counter clerk I requested that the manager be called. A sloppy dressed, long haired creature appeared behind the counter and said he was the assistant manager and asked what my problem was (in those words and with no greeting or proper introduction). I explained once again that my wife's phones battery was giving problems and it was still under guarantee. With this he says to me that the phone must be sent away for approximately 10 days to be analyzed as to what the problem could be. I informed him that I had been passed another mobile shop and they said there was a batch of phones that where faulty and he should swop the battery free of charge if the serial number was in that batch. With this the "assistant manager" shouted at me telling me that is not there policy and that if I don't lower my voice he would have me removed from the shop. I then left the shop and went straight to a SAMSUNG dealer who helped me within 5 min no fuss no hassles. I would like to know if this scruffy and untidy person is the actual corporate image that MTN is trying to portray there product and if there customer care hand book tells the managers to be rude.
