I went in for a upgrade to vodacom cresta mall on 24th decemberv 2013 as i was due for an upgrade. The consultant assisted me and gave me the samsung S4 on a smart s contract.
I was told that my contract would only kick in from the 1st of January 2014.I then purchased 100mb of data as she said this would help me install my applications that i needed.
On the 25th of december my phone was blocked as the limit had been reached, I had called and asked to increase my limit by R100.00.
On the 26th december i tried using the phone and was advised that the phone was blocked and my account was sitting at R985.00 how the can my account reach this amount within one day after downloading two free games and the whatsapp application and this leaving my usage at 268mb being used.
How does this bring my account to this balance. No one advised me that i would be charged this much as i was told my contract would only be effective as of the 1st of January 2014 i had to now take of tiome and change my contract to a top-up as i cannot afford to throw money away for service.
I have never been so dissapointed with a contract until now my account never ever gos this high i even had a 200 limit.
