Only out to take your money!

Even though my contract expired, Virgin Mobile continued to take monthly instalments out of my account. When queried why this was happening I was told because I did not advise I wanted it to stop. Anyone heard of the Consumer Act?!!
Now, after I have phoned to correct this mistake, they still take money out of my account! Without notifying me of their intent.
I made it quite clear that I only use my phone once a month when I am in South Africa.
