Denied a contract phone because of switching banks

I went to the Vodacom Sunnypark mall to open a new cell phone contract, I was told they need to submit my application to the head office, due to the fact that i have switched banks i was denied the contract, after they have advised me to get a three months bank statement from the previous bank and a month statement from the current. I was told i need to wait for at least three months before i can get a phone. I had to wait for long queues at the bank and being pregnant at the same time only to be told that i can't get a contract phone.
Very disappointed.
