I recently cancelled my contract with Vodacom due to bad service. I moved to Cell C, and received such friendly service and spoke to assistants that made my life easy and made going over to Cell C convenient. Until recently. I opened a contract for the new Iphone as Cell C had an amazing deal. I understood that they had no stock of the phone & I was made aware that I would have to wait 10 working days which is fine. On the 9th of Jan I opened my contract & only received my phone after 17 working days. In the meanwhile, everytime I tried to call Cell C direct I had to wait 6min or more for someone to just answer and assist! And as I went from contract to prepaid, I spent more that R70 just to make call to the Cell C call centre. Its not the effort to call, but the long wait. I even smsed and e-mailed my query as stated by their automated voice system, just to let someone answer me after a week! Now I have received my new phone, & I want to activate my sim, and I just spent almost 10min waiting for someone to answer, & just as they answered my airtime was up. So, still cant use my new phone and cant call to activate because Cell C Call Centre reaction time is pathetic!
