Bad service for their mistake

They used to take money from an account and suddenly stopped for three months. Then they put all three months through. When I queried this no one knew what this was for so I stopped the debit. But when we realised paid and mistake was rectified. However when applying for a new service I now have a bad credit rating due to their mistake and no recourse from them or communication. Absolutely disgraceful and unacceptable. I want this cleared and rectified immediately but again no response from anyone?
And they want to increase local business? What is going on? Be warned!
