My phone got lost and the insurance approved replacement. My original phone was a BB Bold 9900 and had BIS meaning all my Internet excess and so forth was covered by the BIS. Ms Rihanna was the lady that assisted me on the 30 Nov 2013 to replace the lost phone, I chose a BB Z10. I was issued with the phone and bought all the things I needed for the phone and left. The 12th i received billing of a ridiculous amount for my data usage. Called the vodacom callecentre no help there. I then went to vodacom and spoke to the lady who assisted me that day. I queried why I'm paying for Data now all of a sudden. Then only was I advised that the new handset i received does not work on BIS it works on Data. WHY WAS I NOT INFORMED OF THIS WHEN I RECEIVED THE PHONE. I am not a phone Fundi. The manager blamed Vodacom Tech for not sending me an sms advising me of this. Called the Tech department and Sydney hepled me. Sydney asked to speak to the manager. Dont know what the conversation was about. Manager advised me to contact customer care via email. Ms Rihana bluntly told me that this issue i have was STUPID and she would not entertain the matter any further.
