Misleading information on upgrade

Telecommunications

I went to Canal Walk MTN to upgrade my contact as seen below:

16/12/2012 - Instructed the consultant that I would like to upgrade my current Top-Up 100 voice contract to a 1 gig "Top-Up" data packageAcer E1-571 Notebook deal due to the fact that I use a large amount of data on my device opposed to the occasional calls I make. It was made clear to me that this is 100% possible and that I shall be able to load additional airtime on as required in addition to the data received every month in order to still make calls. The migration was processed and I was told to wait 24-48 hours with a reference number, 3041310, until complete to pick up my device.

18/12/2013 - I received confirmation that I was migrated to a open-anytime contact instead of the top-up as requested and that I need to visit the store to correct it. I returned to the store where the same consultant "rectified" the issue and was told to return later and collect. I returned later to be told that I am now migrated to an open-anytime package and shall need to wait 3 months to be able to get WHAT I ORIGINALLY ASKED FOR.

I am now stuck with a useless contact and cannot make calls due to incompetence. This is unacceptable.
