I recently applied for a contract with MTN for a Full HD 3D LED TV that was advertised in their promotional pamphlet. The contract was approved and I just needed to sign for activation when the consultant informed me that the TV that was going to be given to me was an ordinary LED tv and not the 3D LED that was advertised. His reason was that MTN corporate sent out an email stating that the advertisement was a misprint. That has zero grounds against me because the contract that I applied for and was approved for was the 3D TV that I initially signed for, even the consultants said it is indeed a good buy. And now my activation is placed on hold due to the confusion that they're experiencing due to the apparent misprint, which again cannot void the contract that I have been approved for. And I have contacted the MTN head office which I've explained my problem to about 3 consultants who could not help me and refused to transfer my call to somebody who would assist me with this problem. As a customer well informed about the Consumer Protection Act. I demand a response and the TV that I have initially applied for. I will not accept anything else.
